A Lovely Afternoon with the Stevensons – Family Photo Shoot, Calgary

Winter is coming and before the cold hits hard, this family have decided that it would be a nice time for a photo shoot.
They love to do outdoor activities and we took advantage of the fact that we still have mild temperatures to stroll in the playground near the house and throw rocks in the river, as they always do.
Before we went outside we took some time to photograph a few family moments at home, such as reading time. Flora is from Brazil and she likes to read Brazilian comic books to Nina and Noah so that they can learn Portuguese and a little bit about their mother’s culture. The children love Chico Bento, a character from Turma da Mônica (Monica’s gang), a famous comic book in Brazil. Maurício de Souza, Turma da Mônica’s author, made my childhood awesome!
I had a great time with Flora, Greg, Nina, and Noah (and of course Simba, the cat 🐈). They are so connected and I love to see (and photograph) families that value the small things in life.
